- Traffic survey including manual classified counts (MCC) at 26
locations in Greater Cairo Region, - Assessment of Greater Cairo Metro system in terms of economic,
social, and financial benefits, - Estimation of the ridership of the Metro lines and other road-based
modes of transportation in the next 25 years, - Estimation of the Origin-Destination matrix in the study area,
- Development of a transport model including only public transport
and private car on the road system, calculation of performance
measures in case of the Metro and No Metro Scenarios, and study
the feasibility and benefits of the Metro lines in the Greater Cairo
Area.
